Meet the Team

Kat Hammers

Founder | Exercise Specialist | Head Triathlon Coach | Bike Fitter

Kat brings 25+ years of coaching experience to East Texas. Drawing from her journey as a competitive swimmer and triathlete and her experience working in the fitness and endurance industry,  Kat learned there are many variables to consider regarding proper training.  It became her mission to learn the science, incorporate wellness components into training and guide others in their fitness and triathlon performance journey correctly.


Kat understands the challenges and triumphs of training and maintaining a work/life balance. This unique perspective fuels her coaching approach, which combines her technical expertise, motivational guidance, and personalized training plans to propel her clients and athletes of all levels toward success.

 

Kat obtained an Associate of Applied Science in Wellness and Exercise Science from Tyler Junior College, a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology from The University of Texas at Tyler, and a Certified and Designated USMS level 1 & 2 Swim Coach, USMS Adult Learn to Swim Instructor, ACSM Personal Trainer, and Certified Yoga Instructor. 

Kat is passionate about all things fitness, wellness, and the mind/body connection, as she incorporates many components of wellness into her coaching and training strategies.

LYNNETTE

BIKE MECHANIC | MOUNTAIN BIKE COACH


Lynnette is a lifelong cyclist with experience in road, gravel, and trail adventures and has a passion for bikes. She has worked in bike shops for many years and volunteered her mechanic skills for the Tyler Street Team. She obtained her BICP (Bicycle Instructor Certification Program) Level 1 certification in 2015 and has been coaching mountain bike skills with Grit Clinics, Ladies' AllRide, and Ninja Mountain Bike Performance since then. She obtained her Sprockids certification in 2018 and has assisted with mountain bike camps for kids; she has been a Level 2 certified NICA coach since 2015 and a Coach Supporter for the Texas NICA League, leading on the bike skills training for coaches for several years. She also holds several Shimano T.E.C. certifications. We're honored to have her skillset and enthusiasm at TriUnity, and Lynnette is excited to begin her journey with the TriUnity team!
